Privacy Policy
This policy describes the public VSL-HIVE website and the operational X publishing integration. VSL-HIVE is a research architecture for distributed evidence observation. It does not require access to private X user data for its public publishing function.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the public VSL-HIVE web experience at vehiclesystemslab.com/hive/ and to VSL-HIVE's authorized use of the X API for publishing public information from the VSL-HIVE public evidence state.
2. Information VSL-HIVE uses
VSL-HIVE processes public scientific or civil-source information and public technical evidence generated by its own research pipeline. For the X integration, VSL-HIVE uses the minimum account and API metadata required to authenticate the Vehicle Systems Lab account, publish a post, verify publication, prevent duplicate publication, and maintain an operational audit trail.
3. X API use
The X integration publishes information already represented in the public VSL-HIVE LIVE state when the HIVE public state marks an item for publication. The X publisher does not independently query the originating scientific source or classify anomalies. It is not designed to profile X users, build advertising audiences, perform user scoring, resell X data, enrich third-party datasets, train machine-learning models on X user data, collect Direct Messages, or obtain private user email addresses.
Operational records may include the outgoing public payload, an evidence or event identifier, a cryptographic hash, the X post identifier returned by the API, publication status, and timestamps. These records are used for provenance, reliability, duplicate prevention, and audit.
4. Credentials and security
X API credentials and other service secrets are not intended to be embedded in the public website, browser JavaScript, public repositories, or public evidence files. Production secrets are intended to be stored in a restricted server-side secret-management system with least-privilege access.
5. Website data
The public HIVE page may be delivered through standard web infrastructure that necessarily processes ordinary request information such as IP address, user agent, timestamp, and requested resource in infrastructure or security logs. Vehicle Systems Lab does not state that such logs are anonymous. Retention and provider-level processing depend on the infrastructure in use.
6. Sharing
Vehicle Systems Lab does not sell personal data through VSL-HIVE. Data may be processed by infrastructure and API providers solely as necessary to operate the website, evidence services, security controls, and authorized X publishing.
7. Retention
Operational evidence and publication receipts may be retained where necessary for scientific reproducibility, provenance, security, incident reconstruction, duplicate prevention, and audit. Secret credentials are governed separately and should be rotated or revoked when required.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated as VSL-HIVE evolves. Material changes should be reflected by updating the effective date and the public version of this page.
